Tour Itinerary

Overview

Embark on an unforgettable one-day private tour to discover and explore the magnificent and enigmatic Angkor Wat temple complex. With an experienced, English-speaking guide leading the way, you will delve into the fascinating historical facts and captivating anecdotes surrounding these ancient architectural wonders. As you immerse yourself in the rich cultural heritage of the site, you will gain a deeper appreciation for the engineering feats and spiritual significance that have made Angkor Wat a renowned UNESCO World Heritage Site. End the tour by enjoying your day with a breathtaking sunset over the iconic temple and its surrounding structures; this comprehensive tour will leave you with a profound sense of wonder and a newfound understanding of the majesty of this iconic Cambodian landmark.

Itinerary

We will pick you up from your hotel. Then, you will head to the south gate of Angkor Thom, followed by Angkor Thom (comprising the renowned Bayon Temples, made up of 54 towers and 216 faces of Buddhisatva Avalokesvara) and Baphoun temples, which were among the most spectacular temples during the Angkor empire's heyday.

You'll pass by the Terrace of Elephant, used for public ceremonies and serving as the stage for the king's grand audience hall, the Terrace of Leper King (one of Angkor's mysteries), and the ancient Royal Palace Phimeanakas.

Afterwards, explore Ta Prohm Temple, known as the jungle temple, referring to the lush trees surrounding the temple's stones. The gigantic roots of the trees embracing the ruins have made it one of Angkor's most popular temples.

Discover Banteay Kdei temple, built by King Jayavarman VII in the late 12th century. This sprawling, largely non-restored temple was a monastic complex in much the same style as Ta Prohm.

At the end of the tour, you will visit the World Heritage Site known as Angkor Wat. This site is one of the most important archaeological sites in Southeast Asia and was built by the great Khmer King Soriyavaraman II in the early 12th century. It is dedicated to the Hindu god Vishnu. You will have the opportunity to enjoy the sunset over the Angkor Wat temple before returning to your hotel.
