*In the morning: After breakfast, at 7:30 am, we are leaving from hotel and starting to explore local Roluos market before we are driving to Koh Ker which is located 120 kilometers from Siem Reap town. There are about forty temples and reservoir were built by Angkor King Jayavarman IV, who was usurper, ruled the country from 928 to 941. Koh Ker means the city of Glorious. Among those, one is the most beautiful " Prasat Thom means giant pyramidal temple. The temple was built in the center of capital city and represent of mountain temple which was built on seven-tiered and 36 meters pyramidal base. So Koh Ker is dominated by Prasat Thom, Prasat Linga, Prasat Prum and Prasat Neang Kmao. Then, we are taking a break for lunch at local restaurant.
*In the Afternoon: After lunch, we continue to Kampong Khleang is located on the northern lake-edge about 55 km east of Siem Reap town, more remote and less tourist than Kampong Pluk. Visitors to Kampong Khleang during the dry season are universally awestruck by the forest of stilted houses rising up to 10 meters in the air. In wet season the waters rise up to one or two meters of the buildings. Like Kompong Pluk, Kompong Khleang is a permanent community within the flood plain of the Lake, with an economy based in fishing and surrounded by flooded forest. But Kompong Khleang is significantly larger with nearly 10 times the population of Kompong Pluk, making it the largest community on the Lake.
